Can You Officiate Our Beach Wedding?
Beach Wedding Officiant in St. Petersburg & Pinellas County
Dreaming of saying “I do” with the Gulf of Mexico behind you?
Yes, Rings, Bells and Bliss officiates beach weddings throughout our listed service area.
Whether you're considering Pass-a-Grille, Treasure Island, Madeira Beach, Indian Rocks Beach or another nearby beach, your ceremony can be both simple and personal.
What should we know before planning a beach ceremony?
Start with four things:
Your preferred date, ceremony time, beach location and marriage license.
You don't need to have your ceremony written before contacting me.
That's something we can work on together.
I help couples create their ceremony and can provide assistance with writing vows, too.
Do we need a marriage license?
Yes. A beach setting doesn't eliminate the marriage-license requirement.
Make sure you've obtained your Florida marriage license and pay attention to the effective and expiration dates printed on it.
If you're unsure about requirements, contact the Clerk that issued or will issue your license for current information.
Do we need a beach permit?
Possibly.
Requirements can vary depending on the specific beach, park, municipality and type of ceremony you're planning.
Because Rings, Bells and Bliss is your wedding officiant rather than the agency responsible for the property, you should confirm current permit, reservation and site-use requirements directly with the appropriate municipality, park or property manager.
Don't assume that rules at one beach apply to every beach.
What happens if it rains?
Florida weather doesn't always cooperate with wedding plans.
For outdoor weddings, I stay in contact with the couple leading up to the ceremony.
If inclement weather threatens the outdoor ceremony, I'll work with you to identify an alternate location.
Having a backup option ahead of time can make that conversation much easier if the forecast changes.
Can our beach wedding be personalized?
Absolutely.
A smaller or more casual beach wedding doesn't mean you have to settle for a ceremony that feels generic.
I work with couples to create the ceremony of their dreams and can assist with ceremony and vow writing.
Whether you're planning an intimate ceremony with just a few people or a larger beach celebration, we'll talk about what you're envisioning.
What happens with our marriage license afterward?
After performing the ceremony, I complete the appropriate officiant portion and return the marriage license to the Clerk of Court for recording, usually within two business days.
That's one less post-wedding task for you to handle.
How do we reserve our wedding date?
Start by calling, texting or submitting an inquiry.
I'll schedule a 5–10 minute phone conversation to learn about your plans and make sure I'm a good fit.
Your date is secured once your signed contract and full payment have been received.
Same-day ceremonies may also be possible when availability allows.
